Construction is well underway on an expansion of the Winnebago Tribal Transit bus barn. The tribe applied for NDOT funds and were awarded $1.7 million in July 2022 to complete the project.

The original building was 4,800 square feet (60x80) and the addition to the back side of the bus barn is 2,400 square feet (30x80). The additional space will be used for administrative staff.

As of November, construction was ongoing with interior projects mostly complete. Outdoor projects like sod, sprinkler system, painting of doors, epoxy flooring paint for the bays, and landscaping should be completed in the spring.
