It’s almost here – Nebraska Public Transit Week that is! Sunday, April 9, 2023, officially kicks off the week-long celebration of transit in Nebraska.

If you ordered any of the free promotional items, don’t forget to hand those out to passengers next week – they will be thrilled to receive something in appreciation for riding with your agency!

If you need to download activities for passengers to participate in, check out the planning webpage for games such as a crossword puzzle, a coloring contest, BINGO, and more. Also on this webpage you’ll find a copy of the proclamation from the Governor’s office, social media posts, a press release, talking points, and so much more.

If you’re having an open house or have planned a themed day for each day of the week we would love to get a copy of your list of these events and activities to be added to the 2023 Nebraska Public Transit Week Events and Activities webpage. Email your list to richardsonke@unk.edu.

Alongside the Nebraska Department of Transportation, the Nebraska Association of Transportation Providers, and all of the transit agencies, Nebraska Public Transit is excited to celebrate next week!
