Title VI Plans Update and Resources

Apr 07, 2023

The Nebraska Public Transit team continues to work on updating all 5310 and 5311 Title VI plans across the state. Thank you to all of the agencies who have already submitted responses and documentation for their approved plans. If your agency has not yet submitted responses, please return them immediately. Please remember that all Title VI plans must be approved by the agency’s governing body in order for submission to be complete.

As a reminder, agencies can access all Title VI resources on the Nebraska Public Transit website under Transit Manager Resources, Civil Rights – Title VI Compliance Documents and Links. Here you will find translated copies of the Title VI Complaint Form, Complaint Procedures, and Notice to the Public documents as well as templates for vehicle and wall posters. These are also included in the Title VI plan for your agency. If the LEP groups your agency serves have changed recently, please update the forms in your offices and vehicles accordingly.

All Title VI plans for 5310 and 5311 recipients should be completed by May 31, 2023. If you have questions or concerns about the process, please contact Morgan Vogel at 402-554-2133 or mdvogel@unomaha.edu
