2021 NATP Manager’s Workshop

The Courtyard by Marriott Lincoln Downtown/Haymarket was the site for the 2021 NATP Manager’s Workshop July 20-21. The event was also available virtually through Zoom. Over 60 people attended; 57 attended in-person and seven virtually.


On Tuesday, presentations were provided from FTA Region VII staff, Investigator Gary Bergmeier with the Nebraska State Patrol spoke on Human Trafficking, and staff from the UNO Center for Public Affairs Research and the Nebraska Safety Center provided updates. The three insurance brokers who contract with Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services provided a panel presentation and answered questions.


Wednesday morning, three additional presentations were available from Scott Brogren of CTAA, Bill Bivin with a mobility management update, and Kari Ruse with a NDOT Transit update.


The NATP Annual Meeting was held the afternoon of July 20. New Board members elected include Joyce Deaver in the West Central Region; Larry Vortherms in the East Central Region; and Nikki Pinkelman as an at-large Director. During the Board of Directors meeting following the Annual Meeting, Nikki Pinkelman was elected President; Coletta Clouse was elected to serve as Treasurer; and Cecelia Grotz as Secretary.


During an awards luncheon, NATP honored three individuals for their service and commitment with the following awards:

  • In Appreciation: Ronald Lockman, Tri-City Roadrunner
  • Rookie Manger of the Year: Pam Arterburn, Midland Public Transit
  • Manager of the Year: Nikki Pinkelman, Cedar County Transit


Tuesday evening attendees were invited to attend a Lincoln Saltdog’s baseball game.
