On Wednesday, presentations were provided by staff from FTA Region VII and National RTAP. Other sessions included the topics of Trip Planner, cyber security, and Facebook and website usage.

Thursday morning, we started the day having a manager’s roundtable and software discussions. Then heard updates from the Nebraska Safety Center; Mobility Manager, Bill Bivin; and Kari Ruse with NDOT.

The NATP Annual Meeting was held the afternoon of June 22. New board members elected include Curtis Richter, west region; Cliff Lindell, east region; and Pam Arterburn, at-large director. During the Board of Directors meeting following the annual meeting, Nikki Pinkelman was elected president; Pam Arterburn as treasurer; and Cecelia Grotz as secretary.

During an awards luncheon, NATP honored two individuals for their service and commitment with the following awards:

  • Rookie Manger of the Year: Tyler Thiessen, Hitch & Hay Public Transit
  • Manager of the Year: Joyce Deaver, Tri Valley Public Transportation

Wednesday evening attendees were invited to play miniature golf and network. The North Fork Area Transit provided their trolley to transport attendees from the hotel to downtown Norfolk.
