2022 Quarter Four Statewide Mobility Manager’s Message

Jan 06, 2023

The 2021-2022 fiscal year that ended June 30, 2022, saw many increases over the previous fiscal year. While not surprising due to the lingering effects of COVID-19 on the 2020-2021 fiscal year, the increases are noteworthy and significant.

Vehicle revenue hours increased by 41,488 hours or 21%. Passenger boardings increased by 76,612 or 17%, and sponsored passenger boardings increased by 5021 or 12%. Mileage saw a 37% increase with 1,193,082 additional miles traveled over the previous year.

You should all feel proud that you are serving more Nebraskans with the vital transportation they need. I only have a small sample size so far for the 2022-2023 fiscal year, but the upward trend in these numbers is continuing, and I expect the current fiscal year will well exceed last year’s again.

Transit is on the move in Nebraska. Keep up the good work!
