2023 Quarter Three NATP President’s Message

Oct 06, 2023

Greetings!

Summer flew by and we are now enjoying some nice fall weather!

September was a busy transit month. Wonderful to see so many of you in person at the Midwest Transit Conference in Kansas City. One of the best conferences I have attended. Great speakers, nice vendor expo with several lucky Nebraska managers winning prizes, and FTA updates and awards. Congrats to Ponca Express, Grand Island, Norfolk, Kearney, and Omaha on your FTA recognitions.

Then NATP Roadeo in Kearney, glad so many transit agencies can send their drivers to partake in the fun experience and have a chance to socialize with fellow drivers. Congratulations to the winning drivers and good luck at the CTAA Nationals next June in Palm Beach, Florida. Applause to this year’s Rookie Manger of the Year, Renee White from North Platte; Manager of the Year Tammy Bradley-Larsen from Florence Home in Omaha, and Dani Wright/Ponca Express on the Award of Excellence.

Thank you to all transit agencies who have paid their NATP dues. If you are not a member yet and would like to learn more about joining, please reach out to the NATP office. Thanks to those who serve on the NATP Board and special committees that help our Nebraska events to be a success.

This will be my last presidential message. It has been a pleasure serving on the Board as president the last two years.

Best wishes and safe transit travels!!
